Loft Insulation & Boarding

As the temperature drops and the heating gets turned up it's important to make your home as energy effecient as possible. Insulating your loft is a great way to keep warm, reduce your energy use and create a great storage area.

Most people in the UK use their lofts for storing suitcases and family heirlooms, but did you know that putting items on top of bare insulation will actually reduce its thermal effectiveness. The best solution is asking us to install loft boards when were insulating your loft. 

If you live in an older property you may not have enough insulation in your loft. The minimum amount of insulation, according to building regulations, is 270mm.

How long does it take to insulate and board a loft?

This will depend on the size of your loft and ease of access. We can usually insulate a loft in 1-2 days. Boarding out a loft to create a useable will usually be at least 1 day, however the timeframe depends on the size of your loft area and how much of it you'd like to be boarded.
